Saturday, October 28 DEPART THE UNITED STATES Depart your hometown and take an overnight flight across the Atlantic. Enjoy in-flight  entertainment and meal service as you travel to start your vacation. 

Sunday, October 29 DUBLIN ARRIVAL 

After landing at Dublin Airport, complete customs and immigration formalities. Your CIE Tours  driver/guide will welcome you to Ireland and escort you and your luggage to the coach. Next,  journey into Portlaoise and stop to have breakfast with your group at Treacy’s Bar & Restaurant.  

Then, travel into Midleton and stop to visit the Old Midleton Distillery. Discover how whiskey  is made as you walk through the old buildings. At the end of your tour, enjoy a sample of the  finished product. Continue your drive into Killarney, check into your hotel and settle into your  room. In the evening, join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner in the hotel restaurant.  Dinner & Overnight: International Hotel, Killarney 

Monday, October 30 MORIARTY’S GIFT STORE 

This morning, travel to the Gap of Dunloe to visit Moriarty’s Gift Shop. Since the shop opened  in 1964, Moriarty’s has become a landmark destination for shoppers. Then, set off to explore  the Ring of Kerry, which consist of over 100 miles of marvelous scenery. See some of Ireland’s  highest peaks on one side of the road and a coastline scattered with golden beaches and rocky  headlands on the other. There will also be plenty of stops to take-in the scenery and to snap  photos. Next, head to a local pub to enjoy a performance with your group. Return to your hotel  in Killarney and spend the remainder of the day free for individual pursuits and dining.  Overnight: International Hotel, Killarney 

Tuesday, October 31 CLIFFS OF MOHER 

Leaving Killarney, journey into Tarbert and take a short ferry ride across the River Shannon Estuary.  Next, drive along the coast of scenic County Clare and stop to visit the Cliffs of Moher, one of  Ireland’s most beloved, natural landmarks. See magical vistas, overlooking the shimmering  Atlantic Ocean along with Ireland’s Western coastline. After your visit, travel through the Burren,  an area of rocky limestone hills where several unique flowers thrive. This region also contains  many dolmens, prehistoric monuments formed by large limestone slabs. Continue into Galway,  check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day free to sightsee, shop and dine on your own.  Overnight: Galmont Hotel, Galway 

Wednesday, November 1 CONNEMARA SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, travel through the Connemara Region to admire the sweeping views of  boglands and misty mountains. As you drive along you will see many sheep that graze freely  and tracts of bogland where some people hand-cut peat for home heating. Stop to visit  Kylemore Abbey for a tour of the elegant mansion and church, set beside a tranquil lake. Learn  of the tales of tragedy, romance and royal visits. Also, walk through the magical Victorian walled  garden. Then, head to a local pub to enjoy a pint with your fellow travelers. Continue your drive  into Cong and check into the spectacular Ashford Castle for your overnight stay. Enjoy some  time at leisure to relax or explore some of the resort property. In the evening, half of the group  will dine at Ashford’s George V and the rest of the group will have dinner at Ashford’s Cullens.

Thursday, November 2 LOUGH CORRIB CRUISE 

Spend the morning at leisure to rest or sightsee and explore the grounds of Ashford Castle. The  castle offers guests an abundance of activities to enjoy in the true spirit of a resort property.  From pursuits involving physical exercise to the more relaxed beauty treatments, you will surely  find a relaxing way to spend the day. In the afternoon, embark on a cruise on Lough Corrib,  which is the largest lake in the Republic of Ireland. Measuring 68 square miles and with 365  islands, this lake is one of the cleanest in all of Europe. Lough Corrib contains many islands  with historic ruins and a wealth of wildlife. This evening, half of the group will dine at Ashford’s  George V and the rest of the group will have dinner at Ashford’s Cullens. Dinner & Overnight: Ashford Castle Hotel, Cong 

Friday, November 3 KNOCK SHRINE 

Departing Cong, drive into the pilgrimage town of Knock to visit Knock Shrine, one of the  world’s leading shrines where the Virgin Mary appeared to 15 people on August 21, 1879.  Then, continue on to visit Atlantic Sheepdogs, where you will have the opportunity to  experience farm life and see some of the world’s smartest sheepdogs, working in their natural  environment. Transfer to your hotel in Donegal, check in and settle into your room. Tonight,  enjoy an evening performance with your group followed by dinner in the hotel restaurant.  Dinner & Overnight: Abbey Hotel, Donegal  

Saturday, November 4 SLIEVE LEAGUE SEA CLIFFS

Today, drive into Killybegs for a look around the fishing village. Then, travel to visit the Slieve  League Sea Cliffs, where the highest point reaches 1,972 feet making them the highest in  Europe. The cliffs drop straight down to the wild Atlantic waves below and you will see  marvelous vistas. Next, head into Ardara to see demonstrations of spinning, weaving and  knitting at Triona Designs. While here, also enjoy an Irish coffee with your group. Return to  your hotel in Donegal for an evening at leisure.

Sunday, November 5 DERRY SIGHTSEEING 

This morning, journey into Derry and join a local guide for a walking tour to see Guildhall, St.  Columb’s Cathedral, the Diamond and the 16th century walls. Transfer to your nearby hotel,  check in and settle into your room. In the evening, meet your group in the hotel restaurant for  a delicious meal.

Monday, November 6 DERRY TO DUBLIN 

Leaving Derry, travel through Ireland’s countryside into Dublin, check into your hotel and  settle into your room. Spend the rest of the day at leisure for independent sightseeing,  shopping, dining, pubs and much more.

Tuesday, November 7 DUBLIN SIGHTSEEING 

After breakfast, set off on an orientation drive around Dublin city center. See the main  thoroughfares of O’Connell Street, Nassau Street and some lovely public parks as you pass by  many historical sites. Stop to visit Teeling Distillery to learn about finely aged whiskey and  sample the finish product. If time permits, you enjoy a cocktail or two at the Bang Bang Bar or  grab some locally sourced food at the Phoenix Café. Head back to your nearby hotel, where the  balance of the day is at leisure. Tonight, you may like to dine in your hotel restaurant or  sample the fine local cuisine.

Wednesday, November 8 RETURN TO THE UNITED STATES

All too soon, your vacation has come to its final day. Transfer to Dublin Airport in good time to  check in for your flight. You may do some last minute shopping at the duty free stores before  boarding your aircraft and flying back to the United States.
